How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too

This giveaway is now closed! The winners are Stacy Sheckell (stacykristine@…), Malisa Price (malisasprice@…), Sarah Gatlin (srhoades2talk@…), Korrine (hkorrine@…), Miranda (randi094@…), Donna Urban (dadon.moments@…), Whitney (whitney.baugh@…), Lisa (altern147@…), Krissa (krissajeldy@…), Brooke (brookesackenheim@…)!

At the beginning of May, I released my first ebook, How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too. It really is true that releasing an ebook, especially one in which your own story plays such a big part, is like sending a piece of yourself out into the world.

To be honest, I thought I would have a panic attack when I pushed publish on the sales page and announced that it was ready, but the feedback has been all that I could have hoped for and more. Rather than telling you about the ebook again in my own words, I’ll just show you what other people have said:

“Mandi shares her story and journey as a work-at-home mom and offers immensely practical and useful tips to help you pursue your passions while managing home, kids and more.”
~Prerna, The Mom Writes

“I loved reading Mandi’s stories of perseverance–she tried many work-from-home opportunities before finding the idea that worked. Now she is the main breadwinner in her family, as a blogger and author, but is still working at home where she can be intimately involved in her children’s lives. Other sections cover time management tips, ideas on caring for a home, and even thoughts about how to procrastinate productively (I loved that!).”
~Jamie, Steady Mom

“How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too is all about dispelling the myth that it’s just impossible to both be a stay-at-home parent and run a successful business. [Mandi] talks about finding your passion, learning from mistakes, and working harder than you imagined, but it’s also filled with practical tips about when to work, when to delegate tasks, and how to procrastinate well. If you want to pursue your dreams, generate income from it, and be there for your kids, I highly recommend downloading her ebook.”
~Tsh, Simple Mom

I actually took advantage of this offer about 5-7 years ago, and several of my extended family have as well. The coffee is good, the maker lasts a good while (couple years or so) and the scoop is still scooping! This is an offer for a coffee SUBSCRIPTION so just make sure you CANCEL before they begin billing you. The CSRs are friendly and are not pushy.

I actually did it a long time ago too, and that scoop is one of my favorite things to this day!

My passion in life is teaching children to read and a love of reading. If I had more time I would read more for pleasure – ah the love of a good story — instead of for work/parenting support, etc. Work and fun intersect for me in the joy my 2 year old son gets from his favourite books and when he randomly recites lines from a book in a conversation…like when he asked his grandmother if her gum is a ”taste sensation” (from the pigeon eats a hot dog)
